Our History
Ascension Ready Mix, Inc. was started in 1999 by Lenny Johnson and Gary Dowdy, Sr. Lenny and Gary’s focus was to put customer satisfaction, relationships, and the quality of their concrete ahead of profits.
Over time, Ascension Ready Mix has grown from just four concrete trucks to a 70-truck operation. After Gary’s passing, Ascension Ready Mix, Inc. merged with Quality Concrete Group, LLC, creating Quality Concrete, An Ascension Ready Mix Company. The merge resulted in Joseph Pizzuto, Lenny’s stepson, becoming an owner in 2020. As the business has grown, Lenny and Joseph proudly focus on family values and making customer satisfaction a priority.
We continue to service Ascension parish along with all of Baton Rouge and surrounding parishes. With a workforce of more than 100 professional employees and high-functioning equipment, Quality Concrete is dedicated to meeting the needs of anyone who desires our product.
